The entrance to Poo-Poo's home
The door to where Poo-Poo lives

I make sure Poo-Poo is fed both dry and wet food and that she has water
(I think she is a she!)
I make sure Poo-Poo has water and food

Poo-Poo's ownders left her moldy food piled on the floor where the urine and feces are. As you can see, Poo-Poo never touched it.
The owners left Poo-Poo moldy food

The stool and urine on the basement floor - the upstairs is just as bad.
dog feces and urine are all over the house from when the dogs were locked in the house

Here's Poo-Poo climbing the stairs, she's still afraid of me. She was injured in her left shoulder area, I think she may have been hit by a car but I'm not sure - she wouldn't let me near her to check her wounds. She doesn't limp too much anymore.
Poo-Poo trying to keep a safe distance from me

Poo-Poo is growling at me while I take this picture. I don't think she'd attack me since I'm the only one who feeds her, but I'm still careful because you never know.
Poo-Poo is scared

It breaks my heart that someone would do this to an animal. I know that animal control people see far worse animal abuse issues and I just can't believe people are so cruel. But then, look at the child abuse that goes on in this country, you wonder how people can do that stuff to children. The man who used to own this house is in his 80's. His grand-daughter lived here with him and her children. He was beaten up one day very severely - I only know of that because the kids wouldn't let me in one day when I went to talk to him and I shoved my way in the door and found him with his face all cut and bruised. His excuse? "I fell down at church". I feel so sorry for him because he is also abused. And there was nothing I could do because he claimed he fell.
The man now has no home because he signed a 2nd mortgage on the home (willingly? I doubt it) and it went unpaid - for how long I don't know. After the grand-daughter was arrested for grand theft auto (she was caught driving in a stolen car with her 2 kids and the old man), the kids were taken by family and the old man taken by family also. We don't know how he is. I'm scared for him.
And, they left 2 puppies and 1 adult dog running around the yard and 1 puppy and 1 old dog (Lucky) locked in the house. I was able to get the dogs out of the house because the basement door doesn't lock.
