Maintaining the website is a busy job, it's simply too big a job for one person. We have several people helping to maintain the site and need even more help. If you have the time and talent we'd love to have you join the Website Assistants. The only starting criteria for being a WA is that you are a member of the mailing list as either a regular member or a digest member. Each position holds different requirments which are listed below. This page last edited Nov 29, 2006 1. Welcoming Committee Members of the Welcoming Committee welcomes our newest members via an email to the list as well as a personal graphic gift. The welcoming email to the list alerts the other members we have a new arrival and gives a sense of belonging to the newcomer which is very important. Right now Kati Earl is head of the WC. 2. ScreenSaver Maker This person will be responsible for making screensavers from the previous months member fractals. Any screensaver program may be used as long as the results are fairly professional in appearance. Knowledge of HTML is needed as well as image post-processing. 3. Calendar Maker This person will be responsible for making monthly calendars from member fractals. Knowledge of HTML is needed as well as image post-processing. 4. Wallpaper Maker This person will upload wallpapers made by our members to the wallpaper section of the site and rotate the ones on the carousel page. They will also need to be able to make a wallpaper out of a fractal that is not an acceptable known wallpaper size therefore image post-processing is needed. Knowledge of HTML is needed. 5. Tutorial Maintainer This person would be responsible for asking members to make a tutorial for the site if they see someone doing something with their images that the other members could benefit from. Once a member agrees to providing the tutorial the Tutorialist is responsible for converting the tutorial into HTML format (if the person does not send it that way) making sure they include any relevant images. This person can also make tutorials as well and is to modify existing tutorials if errors are found or need to be updated (such as when the program is changed). Hopefully our store of tutorials will grow. Knowledge of HTML and image manipulation is needed. 6. Forum Moderator The forum moderators will be responsible for viewing posts, answering them if they can and finding the answer if possible to questions they are unable to answer themselves. They are also responsible for deleting any posts that are inappropriate and for deleting obvious spam members. Right now T'sarveK is head Moderator. 7. Fractal Memorial Maintainer This person will make additional webpages to the Memorial site as needed and will add any new memorial fractals when sent to them. This part of the site will be for member and non-member memorials. HTML knowledge is needed. 8. Monthly Theme This person will choose the theme for each month and email it into the list. 9. FEUser Member Art Page Maintainer This person will enter and remove applicants from the FMAP gallery, will ensure members only have 50 imges in their albums, will email FMAP artists on a montly basis to ensure they are active, and delete any inappropriate images from the gallery.
